Bee Emerging from a Flower |
I have been taking photos of Bees lately. Fascinating creatures.
They are such an integral part of our world. In fact, if all the Bees disappeared, nothing would be able to survive on this planet. So I have a great respect for Bees.
We can learn a lot from Bees.
For a Bee colony to survive, they have to work together in harmony. They have to effectively communicate with each other, so that they can find the best flowers from which to harvest pollen and make the honey they need to feed themselves. They work together for the good of the group.

Like Bees, people get together in groups with a common purpose in mind. The groups range from community club committees, to businesses, charitable organizations and all levels of government. However it is often the case that unlike the Bees, the members of the groups have their own agendas and do not consider what is best for the group as a whole. They are only interested in what they want. I believe that it is time for change.
For any kind of community to grow and flourish; and I include businesses here, quality communication between members is essential. Just like the Bees need to communicate to each other the location of the best flowers; people need to talk TO each other to create the best situation for the group as a whole, so that everyone benefits.
As small children we just learn to talk, and that is what we all tend to do. Becoming a good Communicator is a learned skill. It takes practice, just like any other skill. With this in mind, I have created a Communication Workshop. My workshop teaches skills that with practice, will enable you to become a Communicator. If you are interested in becoming a Communicator, check out the Slideshare presentation on this Blog page for details of my workshop.
