Butterflies & 11-11-11

Butterfly Snoozing!
Today is the 11th November 2011. 11-11-11. There has been a lot of chat about the significance of today. Whether or not you believe today to be auspicious or not does not matter. It is what you do from today forward that matters.
The other day I was out on a photo shoot and found this little Butterfly snoozing amongst some Lilies. Now Butterflies are not easy to photograph, so I took the opportunity to take some pics while it snoozed.

When you think about the life of this little beastie, it is one of change. Just imagine what it must be like. You start off in life in a long wiggly body, spending your days munching away on any greenery that takes your fancy. After a while, you stop eating and your body changes shape, sending you into a long sleep. Then one day you wake up in a totally different kind of body! While in your previous  life  you were grounded; walking around on little legs, with a very limited view; now you have wings and can fly. All of a sudden your life takes on a whole new dimension. That is what I call a Life Change!

I often wonder why it is so hard for people to change. What is it about change that is so scary? After all, Caterpillars do it all the time. And yet, as a species, we are not very good at it. In fact, as a society, we have to change or we will not survive

For change to happen at a Global level, all of us need to look at what we can change about ourselves; so that we can learn and grow. We need to look at our beliefs and attitudes honestly and with courage. To decide which serve us well and which do not. We need to ask ourselves are our beliefs and attitudes based on love and compassion or are they selfish and self-serving? Do we walk lightly on the Earth in slippers, treating others with love and respect or with heavy boots!
Whatever you have been and done in the past is gone. However, you can choose to have a different future. It is up to you.

Would you like to become a Butterfly and take off into a better future? If you answered "Yes"; that is wonderful.  You may need some help with the process though. That is what I am here for.
