Life Reflections

Sometimes life feels like we are being buffeted around in the wind. We work so hard to move forward, but  we just can't seem to get anywhere. We feel like we are being stopped and the more we push on, the harder life seems to get.

This is when we need to stop and reflect upon what is happening. We need to ask ourselves some questions; for example:

  • Am I doing the work that I really want to do?
  • If not, what is it that I am  passionate about that I could turn into a career?
  • Am I happy with my living environment?
  • If not, what could I do to change it for the better?
  • Am I looking after myself properly in respect to diet, exercise and fun?
  • If not, what can I do to make an improvement here too?
  • Are my relationships loving and empowering?
  • Do the people in my life support and encourage me or do they put me down?(Always include the relationship that you have with yourself. Are you loving and kind to yourself?)
  • What is it about my relationship with myself and others that needs to be changed?

Sometimes we have to be really brave and ask ourselves questions about situations in our lives that we do not want to look at. Believe me, it is well worth having the courage to do so. It is also well worth having the courage to be totally honest with yourself. After all, you created the situation that you are in and you are the only one who can change it.

Now this process is not always easy to do by yourself, and it is OK to ask for help. Talking to trusted friends or family members can be really helpful. Generally people love to be helpful and supportive of those they care about. So never be afraid to ask.

It is also helpful to talk to someone outside your family and friends. Someone who can give you ideas and perspectives that are not biased or judgmental. Someone who can coach and support you through whatever you need to do to change your life for the better. To find the peace, tranquility, love and success that we all deserve.

During my life, I have had to go through this process myself. I understand how it can be uncomfortable to change, but the rewards for making the changes that are needed, are well worth the effort.
My passion now is to help others to heal their pain, find their own passion and to create the life that they really want, just as I am doing in my life.

  1. Nice one, and sound advice. When things get tricky it's easy to turn inwards for the answer, but that tends to be self defeating and reinforce the negative. If you do turn to others though, be prepared for difficult answers and try not to be tough on the friends who are trying to help.
