Today is Sunday. I can't believe how quickly the last week has gone!
Thinking about Sunday, I wonder what it means to most people. What childhood memories does Sunday evoke? Traditionally it has been a day of rest from all the work that we do during the week. A time to recharge our batteries ready to start again on Monday.
My memories of Sundays as a child growing up in England during the 60's are a day of bacon and egg breakfasts, large roast dinners for lunch; Dad snoring in his chair all afternoon and Mum's home baked scones for tea.
I think that Sunday is a time for a little indulgence, getting together with those you love and having some fun.
So I am now going to shut down my computer, turn off my phone, and spend the rest of my Sunday in the spring sunshine with some of my dearest friends.
